"Dorit and Aviv loved each other soulfully and were true friends."

Dorit Wertheim (Kislev), daughter of Rachel and Jackie Kislev, founders of the kibbutz, was a lioness of a mother who worked in the Kafrit factory and volunteered with the “Tsachi” team (Community Emergency and Resilience Team). She loved to dress in colorful and happy clothes, take walks around the kibbutz, travel around the world, and eat cinnamon rolls.

Her husband, Aviv Wertheim, raised her children with endless love. Aviv worked at Kibbutz Sa'ad and enjoyed walking around the kibbutz with their dog, Chubby, who was murdered alongside them in their safe room. Their deaths left their children heartbroken and orphaned.
