They were conversational, impressive, and kind-hearted people, who expressed their love to those around them. Tami was a baker who had an amazing connection to animals and children. The Negev Desert and camping were in Eitan’s blood. He was an outstanding tour guide who knew every piece of land in Israel and their stories and histories. Both loved being grandparents and embodied the role in such a wonderful way.
Eitan was an impressive and honorable man, blessed with rich knowledge, who loved a good conversation and had a great sense of humor. As a tour guide, he knew every part of the Negev Desert, and in fact, the entire country. He founded the “Mokirim” initiative, which aims to commemorate and re-illuminate the memory of fallen IDF soldiers over the generations. During his military service, he was a combat officer in Sayeret Matkal (General Staff Reconnaissance Unit) and later served in other IDF units, showing courage and leadership skills. The love of his country and homeland flowed through his veins. He could tell a biblical story or legend about every corner of Israel. He loved the land, history, and heritage. Fields and camping were in his blood, and one of his main hobbies was spending nights outdoors, especially with his grandchildren. He was a beloved and wonderful father and grandfather who knew how to create amazing experiences and memories.
Tami was a beautiful, kind, and gentle woman. She was a devoted and caring mother, and a pampering, warm grandmother. Despite the difficult tragedies that befell her during her life, Tami chose to embrace life, spreading joy and beauty. She expressed her love for others through, among other things, her talent for baking.
