Alon Shamriz was beautiful and enlightened, intelligent and sharp, a philosopher and a conversationalist, a special brother and son. A great friend and a brilliant basketball player. He was kidnapped from his home in the “Young Generation” neighborhood of Kfar Aza and taken hostage, enduring 70 days in the inferno and horror of Hamas terrorists.
He led the operation to escape his captivity with great resourcefulness, and even made it to the area where IDF forces were located, but was accidently shot. Alon had a great love for the Kibbutz and was always surrounded by friends who loved him dearly.
