Omer Zadikevitch
50 years old at the time of his death
3.3.1973-7.10.2023
"My father, you will never truly be gone to me. The spirit of life you instilled in me will remain in my heart forever."
Live simply, breathe deeply, be free, and love hard.
Omer was one of those people you meet and never forget. Full of zest for life. His joy and optimism were contagious. He had an enthusiasm even for the little things, like a child. A technologist who could fix anything, from a broken computer to an unresponsive phone.
Omer loved the sea deeply. Surfing was a passion close to his heart and a big part of his life. But more than anything, he loved his four masterpieces (as he used to call them), his children - Liran, Neta-Li, Lior, and Gali. He gave them endless warmth and love.
On the morning of October 7th, he left home to open the command center of the Shaar HaNegev regional council, as he always did during security alerts, due to his position as the council's head of IT and Control. Contact with him was lost, and only 30 hours later did it become clear that he had been murdered by Hamas terrorists next to his car.
Omer passed down to his four children both his love of the ocean waves and his love of life.
You will forever be in our hearts.
