Rotem Kutz

Almost 19 years old at the time of her death
27.11.2004-7.10.2023

"Part of a complete, warm and loving family."

The eldest daughter of Aviv and Livnat. A sister to Yonatan and Yiftach. Rotem was born and raised in Kfar Aza in the western Negev. She was part of the “Hartzit” group in her high school. She was beautiful, full of ambition and purpose, smart and independent, she knew what she wanted and acted diligently to accomplish every goal and fulfill every dream. She was determined to be the best at everything she took on. She attended dance school for a few years, then went on to specialize in baking decorated cakes, as well as in fashion design and sewing - her talent was evident in all of these areas. She always made people around her feel comfortable with her great sense of humor, her sharp wit, and her wide smile radiating kindness and tenderness. Using these qualities, she lovingly tended to toddlers and preschoolers at the Kibbutz’s educational centers.
She enlisted in the IDF on March 27th, 2023. After completing her basic training, she was assigned, as per her request, to a squad commanders course, and served as a squad commander for new recruits at Bahad 7 (training base for C4I Corps). Rotem fulfilled her duties with great dedication and ownership and faced all tasks and challenges head on. Those who knew her say she was a true friend, a relentless professional, someone they could lean on. During the Sukkot holiday she travelled to Greece on vacation, and came back home for Simchat Torah.
On October 7th 2023 terrorists broke into the family home, into the safe room which was Rotem’s room and murdered the entire family as they held each other.
