Sivan Elkabets

23 years old at the time of her death
6.6.2000-7.10.2023 Sivan 3rd, 5,760

"Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace"

Murdered in the sanctification of God's name on the holy Shabbat, Simchat Torah, their souls will remain pure for all eternity.
Sivan was murdered in the sanctification of God's name on Shabbat Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, with Naor Hasidim, who only came to celebrate the holiday with her.
Sivan and Naor had been together for 7 years, since high school.
Sivan was opinionated, and knew how to make her voice heard so that everyone could hear it.
When it came to making life decisions, she made choices with both feet planted on the ground, but also with creative vision.
She loved people and loved God. She loved life, and life wrapped her with warmth.
Zelda wrote, “Every person has a name, given to them by death”.
The murderers ambushed and invaded both rows of houses in “Dor Tzair” , the “Young Generation” neighborhood, moving Sivan to Ofir’s home. In order to keep her family safe, she disconnected her phone. In her last message, she asked if everyone was ok, read Psalm 100 (the song of gratitude), fixed Ofir a tourniquet, hugged her and together they passed on to what we hope is a better place.
Sivan was proud and heroic her entire life, just as she was at its end.
Her good soul, beautiful smile, gentle hands and calming eyes will remain in our hearts forever.
